Rare and collectible v
intage Cinnabar
fur or dress clip with
floral design set in brass frame .
Measures 2.25" x 1" at widest part. Elaborate brass wire floral design on back.
Circa 1920’s-30’s
It is marked CHINA on the back
Spring has detached from the clip but easily repaired.
Brass frame with red cinnabar inset with deeply incised peony design. The fine mesh brass wire on the back is finely woven and scrolled to form minute delicate floral and scroll designs. The pin back is original to the pin.
The lacquer is a deep almost blood red color with the design being deeply and finely cut. The lacquer has a rounded edge to the design with detailed lines on each petal.
