Mother of Pearl & Silver Flower Vintage Scarf Ring

1-3/8 inch diameter circle with a silver plate 3-D flower set on a Mother of Pearl background.
The edge is decorative silver plate. The back is smooth silver color with a open circle folding clip
Scarf clips were commonly design to look like a brooch, but instead of the pin clasp, had a hinged clip to hold the scarf in place. They differed from the dress clip in that they had no "teeth"  just a strong hinged clip, since the scarf material was often bunched or knotted before the clip was used. Some have a "channel" for the scarf to slip through the back of the design.
You could also use as a hair clip.
